John Robert Tortorella (born June 24, 1958) is the head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Tortorella has held the position of head coach of the Vancouver Canucks (2013–14), the New York Rangers (2009–13) and the Tampa Bay Lightning (2001–08). He led Tampa Bay to the 2004 Stanley Cup championship.

United States national men’s hockey team

Tortorella was also the assistant coach of the U.S. National Men’s hockey team in 2008-2009 replacing Peter Laviolette, which included leading the squad at the 2008 IIHF World Championship, where they finished sixth.
